Having photographed an Asian wedding last September I thought I’d share some information about how to tackle the wedding photography. As there are so many different kinds of weddings you might attend as a wedding photographer you have to be prepared to adapt and learn new ways of photographing the event. Some obvious advice I would give is to do some research beforehand. Maybe look at some wedding photographers who have a lot of experience in different types of wedding ceremonies.

I thought I’d take some time to discuss familiar & common problems I encounter while practicing wedding photography. With most photography these days there are two steps to the work process. Physically taking the photographs and post production. During both these steps you encounter problems, but with wedding photography, you can’t afford to. Here are a few tips on how to avoid these problems.
My research day in Swansea’s Clyne Gardens a couple of weeks ago got me thinking about other locations for wedding photography. Wedding photographer’s tend to stay at the location of the wedding to photograph the day, but finding great outdoor locations for a wedding shoot can add an extra element of fun. Providing the bride and groom are willing to take some time out to have some photograph’s taken in a special location, why not offer it as a service.
I have recently been doing a bit of research for an upcoming wedding in Swansea. The couple who I am doing the wedding photography for have mentioned that they are very fond of the Swansea’s Clyne gardens and would love to have some wedding photographs taken there. They recently emailed me a few examples of places they think would be good for the wedding photography and this sparked a few ideas of my own. As Swansea has seen a great deal of sun the last couple of weeks I decided to use the weather as an opportunity to get a few snaps around the gardens and develop some ideas for the wedding in September.
Initially this article might seem very similar to my last. Yes, I am discussing ways in which you can get your wedding photography seen, but whereas the last article focused on promotion for your wedding images this is more about the images themselves. Don’t get me wrong, social media sites like Flickr are a great place to spread your images all over the web. But with billions of photographs uploaded every day you need to take your wedding photography a step further to help it stand out.
It is well known that a great way for a wedding photographer to gain exposure is through word of mouth. This helps grow a wedding photography business successfully, although it can prove a little slow at the beginning. I have decided to do some research into other ways a wedding photographer could go about getting his or her images seen by clients.
First things first. Your images have to be good enough for people to stop and look. No wedding photographer is going to gain business through word of mouth if the customers aren’t happy with their own wedding photographs. I guess this goes without saying, so I’ll now look at it in a little more detail.

We all know that one of the major concerns of modern times is the environment and how we can live sustainably to maintain it. The whole ‘green’ movement began in 1969 when an an image appeared after an Apollo space mission to the moon. It showed our planet, Earth, as a lonely fragile rock in a vast empty darkness. This very image sparked concerns with the environment which continue to grow today.
